The campaign ends today. We had some success placing them with people. All it takes is a seed.

So sad that it's over. Other than Mad Men, BB might be the greatest drama series to have ever graced television screens. Nice that you got to check out the area it was filmed at. Looking forward to the Saul spinoff.

"Is Daniels a WT appointed lawyer? If so then this is fairly damning considering the advice he gave the elders was to withhold information about a crime that had been committed. Where's SFPW when you need him? I'd like to hear the argument for the elders keeping schtum.."
There's no argument to be made. It's repugnant.

Watchtower schools--why the consolidation?
by wannaexit infirst there was the ministerial training school ( mts), then changed to the school for single brothers.
most recently the school for christian couples (replacing gilead).
all of a sudden news comes out the all these schools are consolidated under one umbrella: the evangelizing school --open to single brothers, single sisters, married couples all the way up to 65 years of age.. i wonder as to the motive behind all these changes this year..

If I were to take a quick guess, I'd say lack of male applicants. I don't know one brother that knows twenty other brothers that attended these new schools. Ditto for couples. Maybe as a bonus, the branch is playing a hands off matchmaker role considering how many sisters want a husband, and how so many single brothers and sisters are developing relationships outside of the Lord.

I would question how serious one believes whether or not the end is near by joining such a club. For one thing the association would be questionable, not to mention the purpose of joining such a club which would be to network if I'm not mistaken, right? Network to do what? Exactly. An appointed brother belonging to such a club would not have freeness of speech when speaking to young ones in the congregation about the dangers of after school clubs and joining athletic teams. While I agree that it should be a conscience decision, it's definitely not a spirituality mature decision.

How Jehovah's Witnesses benefit those humble enough to study the Bible with them.
by Stand for Pure Worship inexcellent material can be found within the reasoning book, page 328, para.2, 3. occasionally, i see posters make presumptuous comments like, "all you need is the bible", or, "i'm born-again, so there's no need for spiritual assistance from another christian", or,"i'm saved", or my favorite, "jesus talks to me directly.
" on one hand, i can't be overly critical of such ones because they do attempt to read and understand the bible on their own.
(acts 17:11) not to mention they're generally peaceable folks, just self-misguided when erroneously believing that they can go it alone.

Excellent material can be found within the Reasoning Book, page 328, para.2, 3. Jesus already set the guidelines for us regarding individual worship,(Matt 18:20), as did Paul.-Heb 10:24,25. It's important to take those verses into account because very few people can maintain integrity without the support of those that share the same beliefs as do they. By spending time with fellow Christians, one will be more inclined to live up to the requirements and standards par with the territory of walking that narrow road.
Back to those still learning or even those somewhat familiar with the Scriptures, such as the Born-Agains, and those with a Christ Sim Card, it would be disastrous for ones to believe they don't need assistance. Remember, even though the Boroeans made sure that what they were being taught was accurate, never forget that they were still being taught by seasoned and appointed teachers in the form of imperfect men, that being, Paul and Silas. Similarly today, it never ceases to amaze me that so many Jehovah's Witnesses were formally of other denominations or ones who formerly on an individual basis declared themselves to be of a certain train of thought or belief. Apparently, when they were exposed to the teachings taken directly from the Bible as discussed with Scriptural supplements in the form of books like, What Does the Bible Really Teach, or brochures such as, Who Are Doing Jehovah's Will Today?, or the tract being featured in a current campaign, Can the Dead Really Live Again?, they realized that some if not all of their major beliefs were false. Thankfully, they were humble enough to accept truth according to the Scriptures and adapt their mindset.
Why is it that what we do is Scriptural and beneficial to the public? Remember the Ethiopian Eunuch reading the Scriptures but not fully grasping what he was reading? Yeah, I bet you do, just as I know that you know what happened next. That's right, under angelic direction, Philip sought out this man in need of spiritual assistance and brought him up to speed on The Truth as it was known in its limited scope for that time. We're doing the same today, that is assisting those humble enough to acknowledge their plight, and you can't criticize Jehovah's Witnesses for that. If anything, people should be grateful, however, Jesus already forewarned what the public response would be-Matt 11:16-19Regardless, we'll continue to press on assisting that need help to understand the Scriptures accurately with the Bible based literature provided under God's direction.

So you think that was just a typo? The magazine that gets passed out to everyone vs the book that JWs get. Any JW knows the real title of that talk, no outsider does. Only time will tell if they try it again. You failed to answer why they printed it that way...
Ummmm, you know what? I was so quick to prove you wrong about the dates of this talk being referenced in the literature that I missed your original point. I don't know what to say about that. Have to be honest with you Joe, I don't know.

"In 1928, another English pioneer from India, George Wright, visited Burma and toured the country for five months, distributing much Bible literature. Those seeds of truth doubtless included the 1920 booklet Millions Now Living Will Never Die!—the first of our Christian publications to be translated into Burmese. "

SFPW, I'm curious you said JWs have nothing to be ashamed of or hide. Go to the watchtower online library wol.jw.org and type in millions now living will never die. The last time this talk by Rutherford was mentioned was in the 2/15 2010 watchtower. Look at what they changed the title to in that article and then tell me why they did please.
Ummmm yeah, about that SloppyJoe.......... taken from
http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/302012000?q=millions+living&p=par
2012 Yearbook, Norway, pages 103, 104
“Millions Now Living Will Never Die” was the intriguing discourse given by Brother Rutherford in 1918. From 1920 through 1925, this stirring talk was given throughout the world. A. H. Macmillan came from the world headquarters in New York to give the talk in a number of cities in Norway. In Kristiania, every seat in the university auditorium was taken, and many people were turned away. However, Brother Öman climbed onto a box at the entrance and loudly announced: “If you come back in one hour and a half, Macmillan will give the talk again!” Sure enough, people filled the hall again to hear Brother Macmillan give the talk a second time. For some years afterward, Norwegian brothers gave the talk throughout the rest of Norway. Thousands listened eagerly to the convincing Scriptural evidence that many will survive Armageddon and gain everlasting life on a paradise earth. Many also received the message by means of the booklet Millions Now Living Will Never Die!

Once again, everyone disregards the Proclaimers Book, or the Faith In Action DVDs, or what's found in current literature that being the numerous references to previous teachings that were adjusted due to newly enlightened understandings of Biblicle prophecy, etc.. The Branch and the Governing Body encourage both Jehovah's Witnesses and unbelievers to take a look into the history behind the organization so that they can decide for themselves whether or not we have the truth. There's absolutely NOTHING for Jehovah's Witnesses to hide or be ashamed of. That said, it's ridiculous to even suggest that there would ever been anything published discouraging anyone, True Christian or not, from researching the history leading up to Jehovah's modern day organization.
